Gastón Bogomolni

Argentinean-born Cantor Gastón Bogomolni is a versatile, soulful, and energetic edu-tainer and performer. Prior to his arrival to the US in 2002, Cantor Gastón worked and organized multiple Jewish events in the Dominican Republic, Europe, and South America. Cantor Gastón’s embracing of Ashkenazic, Sephardic, Neo-Hassidic, Renewal, Latin and Folk background allow him to create a unique spiritual experience when davening at shul.

Cantor Bogomolni is also the head of the B’nai Mitzvah program, which also includes our popular program “J2M”, which stands for Journey to Mitzvot.

Argentinean-born Cantor Gastón Bogomolni is a versatile, soulful, and energetic edu-tainer and performer. Prior to his arrival to the US in 2002, Cantor Gastón worked and organized multiple Jewish events in the Dominican Republic, Europe, and South America.

Former song leader at Camp Ramah in New England, Music “T’fillah” Specialist at the Solomon Schechter Day School of Greater Boston, and Music Together instructor, he can often be seen meditating with little kids, and performing with his Latin Jewish Band “Malachei Mambo” and “Ta’am Latino”, Jewish Argen-Tenors, Argen-Twins or at the Cantors Assembly’s conventions.

Cantor Gastón is the immediate past president of the New England Board of Cantors, Executive Council member of the Cantors Assembly, the Cantors Assembly liaison to the National Ramah Commission, and a member of both the Board of Shalshelet and the board of the Boston Jewish Music Festival.

He is the co-editor and co-compiler, along with Cantor Ari Litvak, of Ruach Hadarom: vol. 1, Shabbat; the first ever Anthology of Congregational Synagogue melodies of Latin America, published by the Cantors Assembly and the Seminario in Argentina.

Cantor Gastón is very active in the educational network offering lectures, scholar-in-residence programs, concerts, and workshops throughout the year. He holds a degree in Voice Performance and a Masters in World Music, with the thesis based on “Repertoire and Performance Practice in the Conservative Synagogue in Argentina”. Cantor Gastón is currently pursuing his rabbinical studies through the Rabbinical Seminario in Argentina. He is married to Marcela and proud father of Samuel, Emmanuelle and Oscar.

Cantor Gastón joined Beth Torah Benny Rok Campus in North Miami Beach after 7 wonderful years at Temple Aliyah in Needham, MA.

This program incorporates the entire family in the learning process and is unique to Beth Torah. Cantor Bogomolni has an ability to work with our B’nai Mitzvah students that engages them and has them wanting to learn and participate fully in their Bar or Bat Mitzvah.
