OUR STAFF

TEACHING STAFF:

Our sensitive, well trained and experienced teaching staff at SFECA, all hold degrees in Early Childhood Education.  Their passion is working with young children and their families. Many of our staff members are multi-lingual and multi-cultural and reflects the community that we serve.   All staff participates in continuing education classes on a regular basis to keep current and fresh in their profession.

All classroom have one or two lead teachers and an assistant teacher.  We are very proud to say that we have very low child to teacher ratios, thereby ensuring individual attention for every child.


ANNE MANDELBAUM, M.ED.

EARLY CHILDHOOD ACADEMY DIRECTOR

Anne Mandelbaum is entering her 20th year as director of Beth Torah’s Early Childhood Program.

It has always been her mission to bring to our school the BEST, most effective and innovative programming, educational tools and staff in a nurturing, welcoming atmosphere where every child “can come grow with us”.

Mrs. Mandelbaum holds a Bachelors and a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education from Brooklyn College in New York City.  She also holds advanced degrees and licenses in the field of Education.

GRACE ERDFROCHT

SUPERVISOR TODDLERS AND TWOS PROGRAM

Grace Erdfrocht has been the Toddlers and Twos Supervisor for the past 10 years and has also facilitated parent-child and music programs at Beth Torah for 22 years.

Grace grew up in Argentina, where she discovered at an early age that her mission was to work with young children. In 1985 Grace moved to the United States, and began to work with Anne Mandelbaum and her amazing staff at Beth Torah’s Early Childhood program.

Grace holds an Associate degree in early childhood education and a Director’s Credential from the State of Florida.  Grace has stated “ My favorite thing about working with children is having the unique opportunity to watch them grow and develop.  It is inspiring to see a toddler develop into a pre-schooler and know that I played an important role in their journey.”

Grace is always available to show our amazing campus, and welcome you to our vibrant community.

AMY ALDERMAN

EARLY CHILDHOOD ACADEMY ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

Amy has worked at  our SFECA for the past number of year as the Assistant Director of Early Childhood and before that for  5 years as a Jr. Kindergarten teacher and administrative assistant.  She graduated from the Ohio State University with a B.S in Child Development and has 13 years of teaching experience.

Her goal is to continue growing as a professional to give the children at our school the best possible learning experiences to help them grow and develop.
